Visiting San Diego

(San Diego, California - CA, USA)

The city of San Diego is located closed to the Mexico border and due to its proximity, has developed an appealing Southern American character, reflected in its cuisine. Those visiting San Diego will find a relaxed atmosphere, a favorable climate and many magnificent stretches of beaches and coastline.

San Diego is also within driving distance of nearby Los Angeles, Legoland California and Anaheim's original Disneyland Resort, although the city is home to plenty of its own attractions and sights. Those planning a family trip should be sure to allow sufficient time to take your kids to the various San Diego entertainment options and events that the city plays host to throughout the year.

When it comes to accommodation, you should consider how you are going to be spending your time. San Diego vacation rentals and hotels in the downtown district are conveniently close to restaurants and entertainment options, while those who like to spend their day sunbathing would be better off staying in one of the neighboring beach towns. Hotels in San Diego tend to be at their cheapest within the Old Town and Hillcrest areas, as well as along the Hotel Circle Road (parallel to the I-8 Interstate), where chain hotels are concentrated.
